KD Dragway is not your average drag strip, It takes skill to make consistent fast passes here at this track. It is the perfect track for street racers that want to simulate the street conditions as much as possible. Oh yeah, and there's also a huge hill at the end of the track that makes you feel like you're on a roller coaster.
In 2015, a man by the name of Kent Rose brought KD to life with his "Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags" which brought racers and spectators from all over. Kent and his series made a huge impact on racing in the tri-state area, bringing racers off the streets to a safe and fun environment. Unfortunately Kent passed away in 2016, but his legacy lives on. Kent had a vision, and a goal of helping kids, and his 501(c)(3) charity makes it so he can continue to help kids by offering scholarships, and working with companies to provide internships for the younger generation. Kent motivated us to keep bringing good heads up racing to KD.
In summer of 2018, KD is going to hold one of the most exciting heads up races anyone could think of. A battle between 3 states, 10 drivers representing each state. The State that wins will get to put their state flag at the top of the hill and it will remain until the next civil war. The excitement of watching three teams battle each-other to be the fastest is going to be one that spectators won't want to miss. In the past year KD has made great progress in improving their facility with the help of the Midnight Madness races, also to take place in 2018. Last Year Thousands of people made their way out to KD to watch fast small and big tire cars battle it out after midnight. (Picture of last years flyer below)
